Use a system that still gets security updates. Groundwork holds your financial data, and an up-to-date operating system is the first thing protecting it - so we suggest running it on one that is still supported. Groundwork doesn't refuse an older system: on an older computer that stays offline, that's perfectly fine.

Windows 11 suggested. Double-click the installer and you're done in 60 seconds.

Requirements:
Windows 11 (64-bit) suggested; Windows 10 still works
Microsoft Edge WebView2 (usually already installed)
~2.5GB disk space (includes the built-in local AI model)
4GB RAM (8GB+ for the optional local AI)
Local AI sets itself up automatically from Settings — but if you'd rather have it all bundled in from the start (or expect to be offline for that first setup), grab the offline installer instead (~3.3GB, includes Ollama and a local model — nothing to download later).
